Jabiru Safari Lodge Jabiru Safari Lodge offers a unique outback experience with canoeing, nature walks and bird watching. These luxury African-style tented cabins have shaded private timber patios with BBQ and comfortable table and chairs.There are no telephones or TVs, so guests can make the most of the sights, sounds and scents of the Australian tropical savanna.Each cabin is furnished with a private en suite bathroom, lighting, insect screens, a refrigerator and a fan. Guests can relax in the heated hot tub, located near the deluxe cabins in a rustic bush setting.Situated on a 2000-hectare reserve of savannah, grassland and freshwater wetlands, Jabiru Safari Lodge is located within the Mareeba Tropical Savanna and Wetland Reserve, 75 minutes’ drive from Cairns.Activities include canoeing and wildlife eco-cruises on Clancy's Lagoon, wildlife safaris at sunrise, daytime and sunset, and tours of the reserve with a private guide.
